The Panzer II Ausf. F was a German light tank, most intensively used in the initial phase of World War II. It is one of the later development versions of this vehicle.
It was produced from 1941. The Ausf. F version had thicker armor (up to 35mm at the front), which increased the protection of the crew.
The armament included a 20mm cannon and an MG 34 machine gun. Although the Panzer II was designed primarily as a reconnaissance tank, it was widely used during the campaigns in Poland, France and on the Eastern Front. Over time, when its armament and armor became obsolete, it mainly performed support and training functions.
